I am new to Track (I have done XC) and I'm not entirely sure what shoes to get. Seems like I do pretty well in the 800m and I was looking for shoes to use. Most sources say to go with the Air Zoom Victory but I heard the bubbles pop quite often.

Dragonfly
Dragonfly are the best top of line shoe that you can also use for longer races. I love mine and have found the cushioning and bounce is great even for the shorter races. Although I'm slow now, much faster friends have told me the Victory is too stiff and most prefer the Dragons. Since you're new and may not want to drop $150 on a pair of shoes for one season, might consider the Rival Distance which is less than half the price.
