Is it against any NCAA rules to have an elimination mile at a track meet? I feel like an early season meet would be a great time to have one. I know coaches may see it as a waste of an event since it couldn't count for qualifying times to other meets. However, if you had the 1500s at the other end of the meet, you could always run that too for a time or something. Regardless, the question I have is if would even be allowed to be run at a meet? Most invites don't have an honest effort rule, so the technicality of being a DNF for multiple runners wouldn't keep them from running another event at the meet.
