1. So why shouldn't she transfer to Florida and run with Valby?
2. Chelangat is a senior and will not be around next season anyway.
3. Alabama is one of the nation's best teams and placed 3rd this year.
4. Having lived in both the Research Triangle and in Colorado, I don't think Raleigh has much to brag about when it comes to trails. I'm sure the trails near Tuscaloosa and as good as those in Raleigh.
5. Fast teammates are not needed (Valby and Ramsden from Harvard - both top-10 this year)
6. Who cares?
7. As opposed to those other "non-team oriented" programs like BYU, New Mexico, NAU, OK State, and many others?
And I'll add:
8. She is from Alabama and probably grew up loving the Crimson Tide and is proud to represent her home state.
9. She has two top-9 finishes in CC including a 3rd place finish, is an All-American in the 1500, and qualified for the Olympic Trials in the 1500. In other words, she is achieving success at Alabama. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
It's starting to sound like NC State fans are a little concerned about 2023 after New Mexico tied them at Nuttycomb and they are looking for every transfer they can get. First Valby, now Tyynismaa, who is next? Cook? Roe? Stearns?
actually tyynissma can go anywhere, nc state will still be number 1, they have rauber who will be better once she runs the same mileage as the top group and ofc their yearly graduate transfer, i believe it will be better than the prev one ... and hopefully marlee starliper left her injuries in 2022
