I think a considerate coach -- one who may be thinking of the kid first, and who may want the kid to get the most out of his or her NCAA running -- might do that.
Well....reading back over the posts, it seems that the Ivy League DOES have an exception for injuries. So, if you were hurt, and missed a season, you COULD run a 5th season.
I must admit that my Ivy leage experience has been great. I don't think I would do anything differently than I have. Princeton will be really good this year, as well as Dartmouth. We'll see!
