You blame every race loss, injuries, lack of knowledge to the course and not knowing what a tangent is to the coach but when they win you give every credit to the runner's talent.
Not true. As of right now, Grace Hartman and Heather Holt have commented, who are her teammates. And, for what it's worth, many more of her teammates "liked" the post, including Briley Brickerstaff, Shannon Sefton, Sierra Collins, Mariah Howlett, Jenna Schulz, Sam Bush, Giona Quarzo and Savannah Shaw.
I wouldn't be surprised if they liked both, valby fans are the fans of all runners Tuohy beat and fans of the previous runners that was compared to Tuohy, like Hutchins, Ewert, Dudek including Starliper whom they said will be better than Tuohy in college.
Bummed for her, she can't seem to catch a break from injuries, and now its not even an injury due to running but sitting? Smart of her to not retire, she would have to shoulder all the medical bills and therapy cost if she left the team while dealing with her physical health and mental issues.
No, “on cue” is a reference to the fact that any time an NC State runner gets injured, the jackwagons say that Henes is the reason because she overtrains them.
Injuries are an unfortunate reality of all sports and the NC State athletes have them at no greater frequency than those at other programs.
Per the article/post Marlee wrote, she says she is currently training, saying:
"So let it be known: this is where my mind is at. I’m still here–determined, putting in work, believing and dreaming big (and thankfully my body seems to be following suit, as training is starting to go well again, too)!"
Yes. People point out coaches who injure athletes. Henes has always had this reputation. You confirmed it but you are likely a new fan who doesn't know her past.
Only place I've ever heard of the claim of Henes having such a "reputation" is from Tuohy and NC State hating yahoos on LetsRun. What athletes specifically were allegedly injured because of Henes? And are you claiming that Marlee is an example of this "reputation"?? And that it was caused by "over-training"?? If so, your case is incredibly weak. Marlee was injured in high school and came into college injured (with severe stress reaction). As stated by Marlee on her blogs, Coach Henes tailored her training to include a lot of cross training (and at times all cross-training) in order to limit or prevent injuries.
“Piriformis syndrome” and “sciatica” are b.s. They are made up terms to cover for the medical industry’s incorrect diagnoses and refusal to accept the true source of most common pain: your thoughts and emotions. See the great Dr John Sarno and his best book, “The Divided Mind” for everything you need to know.
I had “sciatica” that put me out for about a year. I couldn’t sit in a car seat for more than 20 minutes without severe discomfort and could not run more than a few hundred meters.
My PT treated it as a pinched nerve in my lower back - after about a year of daily back extension exercises and hamstring/piriformis stretches, I actually feel better than I did before the injury.
It sucks that she got it midseason, but Starliper can absolutely recover and get back from this. Based on previous comments it seems that she already has gotten back to training which is great.
