Sooo this baseless accusation about a coach is allowed to be left up without anything to support it, but those posts about He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named keep getting taken down for no reason? What gives? What kind of media entity is this? This site is really a trash heap.
This isn't exactly what happened but not too far off.
Heard it’s also what happened with the UCLA distance coach. Shoot, is that allowed to be said? Or are we only allowed to post things about the McNeese head coach? What are the rules on this website? Just not sure what coaches you’re allowed to post whatever you want about, and which ones you can’t ever speak about.

Oops, I was replying in reference to a post I thought was about the UNLV situation. Nevermind.

Sounds like someone didn't take the time to network & the willingness to be the #2 with a coach/program that will actually get them places...but keep dying on that hill you're on buddy.
Truth to be told, the previous coach was more established and self made by the time he took the Alabama job. Also, his previous job did not involve baby seating his boss kids in lieu of coaching as his main duty. Few more differences along the way.
Previous coach was a young, hard working guy when he started too.. just like current new hire. Previous coach had done nothing to speak of until he was showered with scholarships and Kenyans signed by Waters. This hire is incredibly similar. Like him or not, Waters is one of the few (and getting fewer quickly) head distance coaches in Sprint heavy SEC and supports distance. Waters has Lots of International contacts and junior college contacts. If new guy is savvy and can coach even a little he will be fine and advance his career at Bama.
Nick is an animal. He’s a great coach, but his real gift is his passion for the job as a whole. He will not be out-worked. Look at Toledo’s rise over the last few seasons. Andrea is really good, but the person behind the scenes who made it work was Nick. This was a great hire. Give him a year or two to get some work done and see what happens.

Andrea is one of the best coaches in the NCAA, the notion that Nick is the reason for her success is insulting. Nick would not even have a coaching job if it weren't for Andrea letting him ride her coattails.
Andrea took a joke of a program at UCONN that had never qualified for NCAAs and in 5 years she got them 8th in the country. Nick was a volunteer only the last year which shows Andrea built that program herself.
Toledo has gotten better due to Andrea, not Nick. Andrea is the reason they are fully funded on the men's side and can afford to give scholarships to all those Kenyans.
Well now that the speculation is over on that one…. What’s going on around the open positions? Do other program follow and make mid-year hires. What’s opening and moving from those?
