Harter's successor has already been determined, and announced, staying in-house on that replacement.
Which is why it was specified in my post they will need a new distance coach (not HC) which is still a big job to take over.
The successor of the head coach position will be the sprints/jumps coach. However, the successor of coaching the women’s distance group has also been determined already in one of his former runners, who has been a volunteer or GA for him In past. I do not remember her name but it’s been said on letsrun already.
I heard they were doing zoom interviews this week, on campus is next week with a decision by Friday, January 13th. I do believe they have moved a little quicker than anticipated and we might hear something before. Looks like they are going to make a pretty good hire. A lot of quality application because of salary being so high.
What’s going on with Averett? They just hired a director at the beginning of the school year and the position has just been reposted already. This Matt Logan guy they hired has been changing jobs every 6 months.
Hmm, good question. It will be better than what they had that’s for sure. Probably more so leaning towards press release. All finalists can coach pretty well though, some are just better than others, and some look better because of where they were.

What people don’t understand is that it doesn’t matter how good the coach is that they hire. It will take one subpar performance and Mouse will micromanage and take over at some capacity. There is a pattern with this job and the only common denominator is Holloway. If you don’t mind the frustration that comes with the high pay then good luck to you.

I mean how else can one win? Seems like most championship programs are under micro-management. Mouse just happens to micro-manage an area that's prefers too much autonomy and money. I rarely see him kicking down the doors during cross country.

How high is the pay actually? I had high paying D3 job but quickly found out why the past two coaches left- less pay for peace of mind was the best thing I did.
