I’m a high school sophomore male and I’m kinda lost right now with my running, I’m coming back from a stress fracture but can’t find the motivation to start running again. I’ve been off over 4 months and have only run twice in the last four weeks since I’ve been cleared and it’s tearing at me. I feel lazy and unmotivated in general I can’t seem to get myself up to even jog a mile, which isn’t like me before I was injured, I’d do almost anything to get my run in, it was the highlight of my day and I loved it. I was on my way to break 16 in XC and when my season was completely taken from me I was willing to do anything to keep my fitness somewhat up and to get back out when I got cleared, but my date to get cleared got pushed back further and further and I eventually lost motivation to do anything. And since I’ve been cleared I’ve had almost no motivation to run or do really any physical activity, which had led me to gain weight and become depressed but I can’t find a spark to get me going I have no motivation, but want to get back to running. If anyone has any experience with stuff like this it would be greatly appreciated, and thanks in advance.
