Why the heck would you need an indoor track in Florida? It’s like opening a beach resort in Antarctica.
There is a distinct advantage to those athletes practiced in ‘running the boards’ over those that don’t have such access.
I could also see the nice winter climate being a draw to attract teams/athletes and their tourist families in the future.
Could be useful as a mass shelter during the next hurricane. Bonus: open the windows and doors on one straight and get wind-aided times for multi-lap races!
