I have never ran a 3200m at any track meets. What should I be able to run by the end of track as a senior given these PRs:
400m- 50
800m-1:55
1600m-4:20
XC 5k- 15:49
*** Should be noted I ran the 4,8 and 16 last year with an XC 5k of 16:38.

Around 9:25
I also have never run one. The only race I ever ran on Mondo (or whoever made tracks before them) was a 5000. But my question is this:
Why 3200m? That is a somewhat arbitrary distance. Official events for which records are kept exist at some nearby distances such as 3000m and 2 miles. The 5000 is, of course, the most common track distance event. It shouldn't be surprising my one-day track 'career' consisted of a race over that distance. If I had wanted to run 3200, I would have just done it alone since race directors (at that time, anyway) wouldn't have been willing to stage a race over a non-official distance.
So, why not pick an event that WA and T&FN recognize and ask what you can run for that?
Those are excellent times, assuming "senior" means HS senior. Should be able to go well under 9:30 for 2mi/3200m
“Wow look at me I’m so sophisticated I only run official distances”
STFU we run the 3200 in America deal with it
I ran 4:20 in the full mile and 9:20 in the 3200, but could only go 1:57 and my xc 5k was 15:35. I would expect 9:25 from you.
I know a guy who is a senior this year and has almost the exact same pr’s as you (literally plus or minus 1 second on all of them), and his 3200 pr was 9:45 last year, but I also think he did lower mileage (about 30-35 at the most). I think sub 9:30 is reasonable and sub 9:20 isn’t out of the question of you focused on it, but I think focusing on the 800/1600 would be a better ideas because you have some strong pr’s there
I would say 9:25 last outdoor. You will probably be able to run 9:10 this year though.
Because I’m a senior in HS in the USA. Where the 3200m is the most common not the 3k or 2mile.

I’m definitely focused on the 800m. I just want to run the 32 once before I graduate HS because the head coach never lets me run it.
