On the front page rojo wrote "We refuse to call it the Cross Champs as we've learned it will have a different name next year and the website is still footlockercc.com." So whats it going to be this time rojo? Back to footlocker?
LRC always adds an “s” onto the end for reasons I never understood. “Footlockers”. Why is that? Is it possessive, like, “this is Footlocker’s race because they sponsor it”. Maybe it’s just a tradition for no reason, or maybe I’m missing the obvious answer.
Same reason NCAA XC or track champs are called "NCAAs" or World champs are called "Worlds." However, you can tell they only know the event as journalists because anyone their age who followed it as high school competitors call it Kinney.

Ok, but do they call it Kinneys? Maybe there is some grammatical rule we follow without even realizing it. If I figure it out… well probably no one cares but I’m going to try to figure it out.
