For anyone out there planning on going the small town route for a fast fall marathon, this should be it. Chicago is obviouslt THE place to be but this race, held on the same day, is a good one.
Since I ran it in 2000 there have been course changes eliminating some hills in the mid to latter sections of the course that make it even faster.
Anyone looking to qualify for the Trials should consider this as an option. One drawback is a lack depth in the field so you can end up running some tough spots by your lonesome.
I know the race director, Billy King, and he's a great guy so I thought I'd try to get this out there for him.
