I would recommend everyone listen to Brett on his own podcast "for the kudos" to get an insight into who he is as a bloke and his training, as well as Sinead on Inside Running Podcast. Sinead just seems like such a sweety.
If you dial back the intensity and train correctly it's possible to stick around longer - another example would be the Portugese school (Lopes, Silva, Augosto, Moirera, et al).
Of course recent developments in footwear preserve the legs a bit, too.
Finally, as a very small woman with efficient mechanics you're not destroying your body like Fauble or Mottram (only time Fauble will be mentioned in the same sentence as Buster) or Ben True or even Rupp - larger guys who were technically professional for 10+ years but stopped improving / declined / got chronically injured after a while.
You only point fingers because you don't understand the sport.
Add to that, the fact that she didn't start running until she was 32 years old. So she's still relatively young in running years.
It's a wonder that anyone ever tries to achieve anything remarkable in running, given that the first response is always inevitably; "cheater!".
If Sinead is doping, then everyone's doping. There never was a more honest and genuine runner than her.
We can't determine who is and is not doping based on personality. The fact of the matter is, Diver ran a huge PR at an age when most people are slowing down, and this is going to lead to speculation.
Have you seen her pics? If they had even slight tailwind it is possible that lady is probably like 90 lbs if not less. Body type like koko I would say. Soon to be a osteoporotic patient with pathological fractures.
Sinead is a slightly built, but muscular woman. There's no way she isn't fueling her body correctly to run marathons. Incredible work ethic and consistent training. Awesome performance.
People on this post are always saying someone who runs fast is doping. Rupp, Farah, all the Kenyans etc etc. Hell even the coverage of Valencia Marathon people were talking about the winners and doping. Therefore if this time of Diver's is such an outlier she too must be suspect of PED's. Same standard for all.
Both Rupp and Farah were listed as "likely doping" in the leaked USADA report.
Priscilla Welch of the UK ran 2:26 for 2nd place in London in 1987 at age 43. She started running at age 32, having never done any sports at all till then. The World Record then was 2:21.06 by Ingrid Kristiansen.
