The Overgaauw sisters of Murray County Central run and they win, and that’s been the theme for years, during the fall cross-country season and on the track in the spring ever since they were in seventh grade.
Odd they feel a need to be so cryptic, but I'd assume they're talking about the Lake Conference 4x800, where Wayzata is running Weber, Mignone, Nechanicky, and Anderson. The record is 8:59.69.

Do they do any sort of gender testing at these meets or would that be too offensive to the sensibilities of these relatively affluent folks?

Yep. Unless there’s some baton tumble or something, there’s a very good chance Edina’s 8:59 record will fall.

Has Nechanicky raced yet this outdoor season? Went to check what her 800m PR was but didn't see any outdoor results from 2023. Regardless it seems like she could jog a 2:10 if she's in half decent shape.

She hasn’t officially run yet in outdoor. She did some laps (4 I think) around the track at Stillwater early last Friday afternoon prior to the State True Team meet. She looked great.
Sheesh - I just watched 5 Wayzata girls (three 9th graders & two 10th graders) all run from 2:15 - 2:19 in the 800.
Maybe the future team who will someday break the new 4 x 800 MN state record just run by the four Wayzata seniors is the Wayzata girl’s team of a couple years from now.

I don’t remember seeing a pack of rabid wolves chasing them on the 2nd lap, but something must have been driving them hard! 😃
