Yep - their 7:36 is currently U.S. # 1 this season.
Wasn’t expecting that. Incredible performance!

Would love to see the splits on that race. Andrew Casey must have been low 1:50 or under, same with Bryce Stachewicz. Incredible time.
Laura McClary went sub-5 tonight at her True Team section meet. She ran 4:58.65 for 3rd place, right behind Taylor Isabel and Delia Johnson (both seniors).

This group consists of 3 seniors (Kimmel / Casey / Stachewicz) and 1 soph (Griffin).
Griffin ran a 2:00 open 800 at the Lakeville Mega meet. He ran a 16:47 at XC sections. He will help bring the Lakeville North XC team potentially back to state even after losing all scorers. They have 2 sub-5 8th graders
3AAA True team
Does anyone know the splits?
Interesting true team results. Edina upsets Mounds View for the win in section 6AAA. Owatonna takes down LVS and LVN. Rosemount wins with Prior lake close. . Will be interesting to see who can claim the wildcards.

Girl’s 3200 @ Hamline Elite: 10 girls went sub-11. Jade Rypkema won it in 10:37. I was waiting to see Wayzata’s Grace Mignone break 11, and she did it tonight with a 10:58. Good for her!
And now tonight Grace Mignone went sub-5, with a 4:59.28. I’ve been waiting to see her break that barrier.
Mulrooney from Rosemount wins the 1600 AAA True Team State. Wow.
Malec wins the girls 1600 and she isn’t in high school yet.
3200 boys
1- Westerlund 9:25
2- Gilles 9:27
3- Santiago 9:28
4- Sean Fries 9:32
5- Hamza Mohamed 9:35
6- Weber 9:39
7- Donaldson 9:40
8- McCollor 9:41
So the Tonka Freshman Fries beat ALL of the Wayzata guys here.
Unbelievable ending to the Mn True State AAA meet. Going into the last event Rosemount was leading Wayzata by 5.5 points. Wayzata needed to finish two places ahead to win. Going into the last exchange Wayzata and Rosemount were running one and two. Check out the last lap and see what happens here.
Minneapolis Southwest has some young talent stepping up and adding some depth to the team

In addition to the stud sophomores they already have on varsity scoring - Ueland and Meyer.
This team will be in good hands even after Sam Scott graduates.
