Scoring 63 points in a state route- the ladies are moving on to NXN. However if Doug Soles was still around, it would have been Great Oak. Congrats to the Cougars of Moraga.

Anyone surprised by how low Great oak did in the merge? They got like 12th
Boys team autoqualied. They have 5 seniors on varsity. Is this the last dance for them forever or will they keep contending?
Ridiculous post above coulda , woulda shoulda....
Campolindo has a terrific head coach in Chuck Woolridge, and their newer assistant Megan Gentes, who's been with Campo for 2-3 years, has been a very high-quality addition to leading the girls teams. They're better than a lot of NCAA staffs. The girls returned everyone from last year's team, and they absolutely deserve their NXN bid.
Yeah, Campolindo finished higher in the merge than Great Oak last year.
And every team that finished higher than Campolindo (except Buchanan) graduated many scorers. Campolindo’s 1-6 were nonseniors last year.
JSerra’s 1-5 last year were nonseniors, and the 2 freshmen they added this year really helped.
Always nice to see teams that never made NXN before finally make it
Will be nice to see what Soles can do with the Herriman girls team next year.
This year they didn’t do as well as their boys but they were young and had literally only one senior
Soles still got long ways to go to get the Herriman girls team to NXN.
Niwot / Lone Peak / Air Academy finished in the top 3 and none are losing much, so it is looking to be the same next year
Herriman got 19th
I'm confused on this thread, are you saying that Great Oak would have beaten Campolindo this year if Soles was still around? Looks like they had their best team ever this year and peaked at the right time, they were pretty close to Los Altos for 2nd overall. Also, this is their 7th state title so soon they'll pass GO anyway. Hats off to coach Woolridge and his team, they were on another level this year.
Ellie Buckley, Shea Volkmer, Makena Weberski, Daisy Penney, Caroline McCool, Quinn Guthrie and Angeni Lieben helped Campolindo capture a sixth Division 3 girls team title at the California state meet at Woodward Park in Fresno. Campolindo placed five scorers in the top 60, including Buckley finishing fifth on the 5-kilometer layout in 18:04.5 and Volkmer clocking 18:31.4 to place 13th, to prevail by a 109-120 margin over Del Oro. Campolindo ranks second all-time in state history among all girls programs with 15 podium finishes and is tied for fifth with six championships. FaceTime
Campolindo was actually in the preseason national rankings here
