5'10" and 127 lbs 16 year old male XC/track runner
I burn about 2800-3000 calories per day on days that I run and do a full body bodyweight workout (2 days/week)
I burn about 2300 calories per day on days that I don't run and just do a full body bodyweight workout (1 day/week)
I burn about 2700-2900 calories per day on days that I only run
I am also doing daily push ups, chin ups, and leg raises
I want to get shredded six pack abs, but I have about 12-15% body fat (estimate). I can see them if I flex them, but the lower abs are pretty faint. I am also still growing, and I would like to hit 6'0" (predicted height is 5'10"-5'11" from July doctor's appointment). I tried making a diet for about 2200 calories and 100 grams of protein, and I ate this today. However, I did more research and found that the average active teen needs about 2800 calories.
Is there a way to gain lean muscle (from bodyweight workouts and caloric needs) while losing body fat while not sacrificing any height or risking health issues because I'm so young? Thank you.
