NXN apparently Runninglaned the course and KT's record still survived.
Disagreed. Give it up Astro. The footing was just finally not a complete mud pit and like it or not these athletes are just getting faster and closing in… maybe training harder maybe starting earlier. But give them credit that was fast with a TON of wind!
I do give credit. Congratulations to the winners. But this was by far the best I have ever seen this course look, with the best footing I have seen on this course. I don't think I am entering tinfoil hat territory to think that NXN wanted to make a splash after a three year absence and steal back Runninglane's thunder. And the times reflect it. Two runners beat Nico's record. Four of the girl's ran under 17. But KT's record withstood it. Cool.

You are being ridiculous here. Nike does not make the course fast or slow, it's the weather. No rain makes it fast, and rain makes it a swamp. Some year it will be dry with no wind and records will fall again. Also of note, the girls are trying to break 16 at RL, and 17 at NXN, so speed at Running Lane is basically 1 min faster.
Sure weather is a major factor but the race organizers can still make the course more conducive to a faster time, cut the grass, make the footing firmer. But ok, so it was the weather gods. Still a blazing fast course today.
But on this topic I will add this. Before today only three athletes ever broke 17 in the girl's NXN race at Glendover, Bree Oakley, Chmiel (the same year she won the Great Edinburgh to show the class she was bringing into that race), and Tuohy twice. Today four separate runners broke 17. Whatever it was, that is a hard stat to ignore.

FWIW - today was Nechanicky’s sixth consecutive sub-17 race. Wilson and Michalak are both no strangers to sub-17 either. And Riggs’ performance from just one week ago speaks for itself. So I for one am not surprised by all four breaking the 17 minute barrier today.

Rainsberger, not Oakley I believe. But yes I posted earlier today doubled the number ever under 17:00 on that course.

The field and speed ratings look very close to 2018 except for the additional several girls under 17:00 which probably says they are just fast and the course was not exceptionally fast. 165 speed rating for Riggs.
