How does someone not get accept to a school they never applied to? Brilliant. Lol.

Of all the obsessions, manias, fetishes on this site nothing compares to this Tuohy/Stanford one.
The combination of specificity and pointlessness is mind boggling.
You are likely correct but how do you know?
Riggs looks to be a current and future star. And using her legs to also get a Stanford education shows that she makes more mature decision than most athletes. I wish her the best but she doesn't need our help.
Tiger Woods, Oliver Luck and Katelyn Tuohy don't come around very often; Stanford would have freed up a spot for her. But you are right that as she never applied, it's a moot point.
The point I was making is that if you are a top 5 national runner with good, but not great academics you can be accepted by Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Stanford etc. like Dudek, Dadamio, and now Willis, Wilkinson and Riggs are doing. It's also best to start the process early, rather than wait til Sr spring.
As far as complainers go, it's usually not a top5 national recruit we are talking about, let alone the #1 recruit in a 10 year period.
I volunteer helping low income/and minority kids with college applications, and over the years, I have followed the stats and become friendly with some admission directors. It's entertaining to look at the data for schools like Williams and the ivies. Who gets in with 1100 Sat, 2.9 gpa and top 50% in class? Always a football player, and usually from a difficult upbringing.
This is exactly true- a friend of mine scored perfect on the SAT, went to a private HS and had a 4.2 GPA… didn’t get in to Stanford. Was not an athlete.
people don’t understand just how hard it can be to get in if you don’t have something on your application to stand out or aren’t a minority or athlete.
Riggs and Tuohy ran xc head-to-head once. Manhattan Invite 2019. Tuohy finished first overall. Riggs finished third on her team, fifteenth overall. Senior versus freshman.

They say the nxn course is in good shape. A bit cool but you could see course records go down today.
Lawson has a degree from Stanford in Human Biology - Genetic Factors in Disease Causation. She will run for a few years and then immediately get a 6 figure research position.
Dudek comes from a very smart family. Her father is a Michigan professor. She will likely not go pro but pursue higher education.
I predict that Dudek and Lawson will be earning $150k 10 years from now. Tuohy will be winding down a professional career where she earns $50k per year and will have a 10 year old business degree from an average college and no job prospects.

Too windy.
Chicago has this especially. Their SAT range is 1020-1600, and their ACT range is 20-36.
I think some consideration should be given to background (the person growing up in a high-crime public housing complex in Chicago should get some consideration for that) but it shouldn't be everything. If we're being real about who benefits from affirmative action though, it's typically upper-middle class and above Nigerians and other Africans.
That being said, a kid with a 1020 SAT will struggle at Chicago. I think it'd be better for him to go to a good but not great school. For him, making like 45,000 or $50,000 out of college would be life changing

Tuohy's record withstood a really fast course. Four runners broke 17.

Pro-Tip: Being judgey with bad grammar is not a good look.
Cool story bro, you get the point!👌
A better head? Who are you looking at? If you are referring to intelligence, you way off base. Valby is a very smart woman., likely smarter than Tuohy.
Lmao👌
