The sport will quite simply die if the East African doping problem is not dealt with. Anyone who has been to Iten knows how freely available the drugs are combined with the dodgy European agents encouraging them to take their “ vitamin drips”. It is not a minority it is the majority BUT these athletes are poor and have nothing and by that I mean nothing. The agents and coaches are the cancer that need to be removed as a poor Kenyan athlete will do anything to get a race and potential cash. There are many athletes currently under suspension not yet on the AIU list, no doubt huge names which will send tremors through the sport. I honestly fear for the sport the major marathons don’t even seem to care by continually dealing with the most crooked agent in the sport who has had more athletes busted than hot dinners.
World Athletics tweeted a quote from Korir just three days ago, where he boasts of breaking Rudisha's world record next year. That doesn't sound like an incoming Kenyan ban.
Note : the only other athlete to get within 1.5 seconds of Rudisha's world record in the last 8 years is Nijel SARMS Amos.

The Royal Moroccan Athletics Federation (FRMA) announced this week that the Regional Anti-Doping Organization has suspended two of its athletes for violating anti-doping rules. On its official website, the body explains that...
Yes I would say Burgin is a bigger talent than him. A 20 year old who runs 1:43 after something like 5 races in 4 years, compared to yet another '18 year old' Kenyan who might either fade away or get busted within a year or two.
Injury resistence is part of what 'talent' means, of course, but if Burgin could just stay injury free for one season next year, he'll probably have more chance of getting near the WR than Korir does. His DVT this year was likely down to the stupidity of the UK athletics management letting him go on his first long haul flight and not prepare him.
Anyway, whether or not a Kenyan is a bigger talent than Burgin, the point is most people would consider UK middle-distance running to have firmly risen from the ashes at this point. I'm sure you would love to have a Moroccan Jake Wightman, Kerr, Burgin, Heyward, Dustin, Stonier, Patterson etc etc, not to mention the women.

Look, I know a Kenyan ban would likely mean Pineda sacking you, but don't take it out on me. Korir said that he can 'push towards the WR'. Most people would interpret that to mean 'push towards the WR'.
