Legit question, is there anyone here taking Mechura over Scott at state? I'm half rooting for Scott to finally win since it's his senior year, but Mechura definitely has a great shot. He's tough, and I could see a race where Scott feels like he has to set the pace and Mechura lets him do all the work and outkicks him.
Apparently the course was completely different. Faster/flatter and shorter. Can't really compare it to the year before. They need to figure that course out and quit changing it.
9 of the top 12 ranked 3A schools (just no #6 Stillwater, #9 EP, and #12 East Ridge) plus 3 honorable mention schools and 3 of the top 4 2A schools and top 1A school
Outside of MN, there will be 4 of the top 6 WI schools (#1 SPASH, #2 Hudson, #4 Madwest, #6 Slinger), 4 top 10 ranked IA school including Dowling Catholic, and the top ranked schools in SD, MI, and KS (W Trinity Academy).

Going to be a great Heartland preview!
Do you have a link or could you copy the list? I couldn’t find it
Ranking probably flipped because Bloomington Jefferson beat East pretty handily in Waconia last week. But also Perham nearly lost to Class A school, so not sure.
Griak will be telling to see who ends up on top and how they both compare to the #5-10 3A schools.

I think Sam Scott will win state. But I think both him and Mechura will make NXN. It will be very competitive at NXR Heartland again just like last year. There’s also Clay Shively from Kansas and Manny Putz from Wisconsin.
