BACKGROUND: Older runner doing mostly 100 to 300m reps. Chronic hip problem. Chronic foot injuries.
My sports doctor suggested that I switch to a supershoe for track workouts for extra protection for my hip. I did. It was a massive improvement. I'm curious if there is a better supershoe than what I'm using. I have the Saucony Endorphin Speed 2, Endorphin Pro 2, Atreyu Artist, and Nike Dragonfly. The Artist and Pro 2 work well, but differently. I alternate them. The Speed 2 last is too curved for one of my foot injuries. The Dragonfly is reserved for the last two months before a race. It's an outstanding shoe, but I don't like wearing spikes for my recovery jog between intervals.
What supershoe are you using for track intervals? And why that one?
