Looks like he ran 2:05 off of 57 speed last year? Insane aerobic talent. Lets see where he goes.
Kid gets 7th at state!!! He was second at the 2-mile
Wonder if he will do school basketball this winter
And what he will do during track now that he knows that he is good at long distances
I hope Astro doesn't see this because there is a Tuohy boy the same age.
But I don’t think he has an older sister who is good at running. not that I know of.
Hopefully Astro doesn’t see the thread about Grace Ping’s freshman brother though
That is a seriously talented kid. 57/2:05 is pretty normal as a combination but 15:48, just 20 seconds back of one of the best sophomores in the country in Manny Putz, and close to Drew Bosley's younger brother, who has a scholarship to a high D1 program, is impressive. It is also particularly notable that the kid runs for Onalaska, a team that did not finish in the top twenty in the D1 meet. Maybe they're just starting to build a team, as they have a couple other guys in the top 50, but it is extremely rare to be among the best in the state without any teammates even close to you.
check out Marshfield, OR. The team Prefontaine ran for. Their #1 runner is Alexander Garcia-Silver. He runs a 14:45. Won 4A state in 15:0x. Second guy on his team? 17:48. pretty frickin wild.
Onalaska didn't have a team at state this year, just a few individual qualifiers. They lost 3 excellent seniors last year, but this year their 4-7 runners were 18/19/20 minute guys.
Onalaska was dominating through 3 guys at sections but their 4 and 5 couldn’t get it done to make it to state.
Both their 4 and 5 raced at sections once.
Section placements:
Rudrud: 38th this year / 31st last year
Topolski: 32nd this year / 20th 2 years ago / DNR last year
Both their 4/5 did worse than the last time they ran sections. This is what the problem was
Onalaska will have a even harder time making state. They lose their 4/5/6.
The only way to make it back would be to bring in 2 elite transfers
Hudson and Memorial only lose 1 person
He's not playing basketball. Planning on training and racing - focusing on the 800, mile and possibly the 2 mile.
Before the season started, many people thought that Cooper Erickson was gonna be the best freshman in WI. He finished in the top 7 in the Spash time trials as an 8th grader

Doesn’t Putz still play basketball?
Grady Lenn went 4:32 in his first mile race ever at Gately Park last weekend.
4:29
He will be running some NewBalance races
Calling it a high D1 is a bit of an understatement…
Lenn third in this race - Freshman Boys 1500m En-route
9:09 in the 3200! Sky is the limit for this guy!
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
Running for Bowerman Track Club used to be cool now its embarrassing
Rest in Peace Adrian Lehmann - 2:11 Swiss marathoner. Dies of heart attack.
Hats off to my dad. He just ran a 1:42 Half Marathon and turns 75 in 2 months!
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
