I was just curious as to how David Morris' time of 2:09:32 in '99 was a then American record when there were quite a few Americans who had run faster than that back in the 70's and 80's. I'm not trying to downplay David's run at all. His 2:09:32 is certainly an increible run, but I was just wandering. Salazar had a 2:08:13, plus he had several more runs in the 2:08 range/ Beardsley with a 2:08:53/ Rodgers with a 2:09:27/ and Tabb with a 2:09:31. Were these course not certified or is there some other reason reason? Just curious. Thanks for any help.
