People here in the past have celebrated when his wife had miscarriages by making comments on his videos about it. And you guys wonder why he deletes comments.
No one here is celebrating that. If that happened on his videos, and someone said they came from LRC to celebrate that, it is likely a complete troll doing it to make us look bad. Like some weird DGr stan behavior. None of us legit people here are hoping for or celebrating serious bad things or harm to Seth or his family.
Thought experiment: how can you assess whether or not this action was taken by someone in this thread?
Even if you all met for daily afternoon tea, you'd have no idea if someone at the table was responsible. Trying to make that assertion about a group of anonymous unrelated people is bold - you need a critical audience to sharpen your wit (you're welcome)
Catching up on this NYC excursion and boy does the Eggman keeps taking Ls. As suggested a few pages back, this trip might be the saddest yet. Outside of attending a Hoka event, literally everything this trip was promised to be didn't align with reality.

The thing is that it doesn't line up with any timing if we consider the age of this thread, secondly I have been in three of these threads and I have never seen anything like that. What I see are people striking down on anything crossing the line like that. So, yeah maybe it happened, but it seems quite absurd to hold that against everyone in this thread, because what we do know is that nothing like that represent how the dialogue in this thread is.
Seth never got his hands on the Alphafly 2's to review. Yet other shoetubers are already reviewing the vaporfly 3's. How much you wanna bet Seth never reviews these either as Nike won't send him a pair? Seth is way too proud to buy these on his own dime to review, he wouldn't look like a good businessman to his family.
Steph Bruce telling SJD about a "typical marathon workout", his eyes glazing over because it's only 18 miles and has speed effort in it. Does. Not. Compute.
SJD looked absolutely tortured pretending to listen to her answers. He can't handle when someone other than him is talking.

It's almost miraculous that he even interviewed someone else! I'm genuinely surprised that he did this! Never thought I'd see the day....

If Steph had said 30 miles at 9 minute pace Seth's ears woulda perked up.

"Ah, she means 18 miles before her first gel, that makes sense!"
Hey, all! The poster formerly known as Troof Soshul here. Some little DGR stan co-opted my name and registered it as their own on another thread. I must have insulted the ultra running community by pointing out that a lot of neo-hippies participate in the long distance trail scene. They also pointed out that I post here and called us miserable. My guess is that Tommy P is white knighting for his #1 man crush. Oh, how shall I ever go on?!
I was thinking about living this topic behind as it has become boring and very sadly predictable. I am now SOOOOO INSPIRED to keep our favorite fast lil' son of a gun accountable! This name is now registered and I can't wait to keep pointing out Seth's inconsistencies, weird behavior, and how very little people in the athletic footwear business think of him. ONWARD AND UPWARD!!! LET'S GOOOOO!!! WINNER, WINNER! CHICKEN DINNER!!! The lactic acid is filling my fingers 'cause I am typing so fast!

Dude, only funny when it's a bunch of (mostly) level-headed people pointing out Seth's absurdities. When we start acting crazy/obsessive like Seth, we make him look more normal, and that kills the humor. Let the stans be stans. Don't confront them, just keep heckling from the peanut gallery.

Running and training philosophies vary around the world, BUT, I would argue that the most influential running coach in the past five decades would have to be Arthur Lydiard. Arthur Lydiard's running philosophy has been adopted by thousands of long-distance running programs all around the world, including at the University of Colorado with Mark Wetmore. Arthur Lydiard's running philosophy is based upon one simple concept, aerobic development or increasing aerobic capacity within each individual runner. This is the foundation or the bottom of the training pyramid within the Lydiard training philosophy. Without a strong running and aerobic base, you can not build later with more speed through anaerobic training, also called interval training. When Arthur Lydiard developed his training philosophy, he really was at the cutting edge of running and developing long-distance athletes. Marathon runners use to train at 30 miles per week back in the 60s and 70s, before Arthur Lydiard (and some other) the running coach came along and taught that you have to develop your aerobic capacity tremendously in order to run a marathon fast. Aerobic carrying capacity is really a fascinating topic within the long-distance running community. Everyone is born with a different aerobic capacity. Over time and through lots of consistent training, long-distance runners and marathon runners can increase their own aerobic carrying capacity. A runner's aerobic carrying capacity combined with your own personal physiology creates the opportunity available within each individual runner. Thankfully, in the 21st century, we now have plenty of research on training, running, and how to improve one's aerobic carrying capacity. Arthur Lydiard, we as runners and marathon runners in this century owe a TON to your research and experimentation with long-distance training and the running philosophy that you developed. Over years and years of running, and yes, decades of running, beginner runners will be amazed at how it does become easier with time. Now you also have to consider other factors when gearing up to become a faster runner. At the top of my running priority list, is actually weight lifting! Strength training for runners is really important when you want to get faster! Also, developing your fast twitch muscles is also key for becoming a faster runner. Even ultrarunners these days need to consider speed training when preparing for 50Ks, 50 milers, and to a certain extent, 100 milers. It is amazing to see the development of long-distance running and marathon running in the 21st century, everyone is getting faster! Running shoe technology is improving, training is getting better, and athletes are frankly, willing to go that extra mile to squeeze out a better performance on race day. It is my hope that by shedding a little light on Arthur Lydiard in this video, you will understand a bit better, my overall vision for training for long-distance running. Aerobic development is truly a beautiful human miracle -- We can get faster by running more, what!?!?!? Let me know down in the comment section if you have any questions about u Arthur Lydiard's coaching tree, training philosophy, or what NOT to do in training. I look forward to answering your running questions down in the comments, I know you've got them. Long-distance running is one of the toughest sports out there, both physically and mentally, it helps to go at it together, so I'm here for you to answer running questions. Arthur Lydiard, giving you a tip of the cap for pushing the boundaries!

I think Seth just reads the "build the aerobic base" part of Lydiard, because clearly he doesn't know when to move on and build speed onto that base. Aerobic base is all he does. Read the next chapters, Seth, you are stuck on Phase 1. Check out Phase 2-5. It's a pyramid, not a rectangle of endless slow miles.
