I mean with all the hype, the month long altitude camp, the super sophisticated training blocks instead of racing, the podcasts, videos, countless threads and yesterday was what we got?
For the most part, those who ran last year basically ran the same this year. Seems like a lot of hoopla for the same thing.
Two major takeaways:
1) The end of the road is coming quick. I hope everyone enjoys the greatness while it's here. It was/is a once in a lifetime group of kids.
2) Threads centered around Newbury Park are much less nasty and personal since Brosnan has moved on. There seems to be silly conversations, like who is the number 7 runner of JV is going to be, but while the banter may seem ridiculous, it doesn't seem mean spirited, filled with personal insults. Wonder why?
