Nobody watching from home cares, and nobody watching in person cares either. Can we move this to the day before or a few more hours before or something?

It's all about being "Woke!" - equity.
Looks like they are holding a foot race in the middle of a wheelchair race.
Not enough running fans to drive change, no matter how much better they could make it with very little effort. They see this as a casual sporting event. A chance to pull in ad money on a Sunday morning. Being a die hard running fan and having to deal with sponsored interviews and wheelchair races instead of watching the mens elite field has always been our struggle, and maybe will always be our struggle.
Men's course record is 2:03:45 / Kimetto.
Agree, this is ridiculous. Wheelchair athletes need to be banned from running events. Another instance of pc equity gone amok.
Lara ran a 2:11 in Houston so he has really stepped it up.
John Korir, brother of Wesley Korir - Boston champ. John is two time LA champ. Big PR looks very possible, but we'll see.
Peacock stream is absolute trash. I've been watching for 5 minutes and haven't seen ANYTHING from the women's race.
This has to be a cosmic joke. The woman WC winner just slowed down to an absolute crawl to prolong the amount of time lost for the actual marathon coverage
Yup. I regret to inform you you've been cancelled and banned for this comment.
*2:03:45
Absurd and outrageous. I’m tuning in to watch the runners but the focus has been the wheelchair race. It makes me want to turn it off. Is there an email address that we can all flood with complaints?
15:58 for Chepngetich from 25k to 30k so no slowing.
I think it’s great that there are opportunities for wheelchair athletes, but there needs to be a reality check on the inordinate amount of attention/resources they get in major marathons. These are elite running events and the focus should be on elite running.
Emily Sisson is on American Record pace and several American men are having good days and their has been zero camera coverage of these stories.
Women's WR seems all but certain. Chepng'etich has slowed but has an over 90 second cushion. If she had gone out conservatively she might have been able to go sub 2:13. Unreal!
if you watched the ironman from kona thursday and saturday the differences in coverage are shocking. nbc just does not cut it if they provide the coverage. they never have. commericals and gossip reign.
SECOND PLACE MEN WC INTERVIEW - YES!!!!
Okay they're trolling us at this point. Now interviewing SECOND place in the wheelchair race.
Women's race is over, let's cut and interview the loser of the men's race.
