Rocky Hansen went 14:20 this morning at Alexander/Asics Invitational in Fairburn, Georgia. This is an admittedly very fast course, but nonetheless puts Rocky at US #1 and NC #1 all time.

Nxn is gonna be insane
Bolles has 5 seniors on varsity for the first time since 2018 but the only difference is they won’t make NXN.
chris joost went from JV last year (don’t think he broke 17) to like a 15:40
How many HS kids have gone sub 14:20 in HS?
The 7 guys from Running Lane last year
Ritz
Who else?
Won by nearly 40 seconds.
He ran 4:00 mile as a Jr.
Had Running Lane not happened last year, this time would have been a big deal. There would be multiple posts on this thread…
This year… Not so much.
schoppe, daschbach, and sprout all in 2019, and cheserek
and I suppose since this was 14:20 flat, Drew hunter also did that
Short.
idk dude he ran a 4:00 mile last year I'd give him the benefit of the doubt
14:55 was the winning time two years ago.
Ok
14:14
14:14
14:16
14:18
respectively.
14:20 is in elite company
i wonder how fast Running Lane would have been this year if NXN did not come back

Current U.S. #1 speed rating, moving him up from 6th.
(To compare, there are numerous guys from 194 to 196. The lead frosh are kimmel, clemons, and culpepper at 180).
Wroblewski could be joining this group too if he closes the gap on Jesuit OR’s 4 and 5.
Freshman Monahan from Jesuit LA already ran a varsity meet, and next year when they try to win nats, he could close the gap on their top 4 returners, and so he could be up there with those top c/o 2026 guys too. Last year his 1600 time was faster than Lex and Leo’s 8th grade time.
Caden Leonard from Southlake Carroll is another very good freshman. He ran a 174 at the Chilli pepper festival. He is coach’s son, and also on varsity (and even scoring) for southlake carroll. Not many boys make varsity for this team as freshmen
Funny how someone thought Bolles could possibly make NXN because they put 4 guys under 16 and their 5th was pretty far back which they need to change. Little did they realize that only 2 teams per region make NXN (plus an at large if there is one), and that they lost to 2 other SE teams that also put 4 under 16. The winner (Carrollton) got crushed by other SE teams in the Southern Showcase
Caden Leonard was the top frosh at Woodbridge at 14:43, a few seconds ahead of another frosh, so I was surprised to see that Culpepper's 15:30 was rated so much ahead of Leonard's performance. However, rating systems that function through comparisons are always problematic until the late season or even championships, especially in a sport where some tempo their races and others race on tired legs when they are training through early to mid-season races.
249m short.
