he ran that half as Bigkele. If he has cut that weight since then, he could get a good race in

But raindrops are much denser than water vapour.
Bekele breaks the world record on Sunday, first man under 2:01. He runs with no fear
Bekele runs a 2:00:47 and Kipchoge goes home DEVASTATED.
2:05-2:06, 4th or 5th place, unless he DNF's out of embarrassment.
It won't happen but how dope would it be if Bekele broke 1:59:40 then put on the GOAT t shirt with 1:59:40 crossed out with a Sharpie?
if he wanted the WR, why didn't he just run directly behind kipchoge the other day and outsprint him like how he outsprint everybody else back in his prime 10000 days?
God, I hope we're not getting another round of people insisting Kipchoge has to race Bekele.
Another fine piece of journalism - this time I learned the men’s HM WR has mysteriously gone down by 30 seconds to 57:01.
Boomers be crazy, aint no way this boomer places higher than 6th.
He’s actually a Millennial. But yeah, he isn’t breaking anything. I’ll be pleasantly surprised if he wins. I’ll be fairly surprised if he breaks 2:05. I’ll go home devasted, but not shocked if he DNFs.
Any word in what pacing we're to expect?
Of course NOT!
BEKELE CANT DO IT!
Yes, I wrote that in capital letters.
First of all, he has to complete the race.
Secondly, replicate what he did when he ran two seconds outside Kipchoge's world record.
Thirdly, better it by about 35 or so seconds.
It won't happen.
I say he doesn't. Bekele's marathon career has been so up and down, its very hard to predict him going sub 2:03 really out of nowhere. The winning time I see in the 2:04:30 area.
61:45 for 1st half. (Pacers : E. Cairess, A. Butchart, B. Ngeno, S. Rono)
Okay then what is he waiting for? If he want to do it then do it already.
Bekele has the biggest engine, so to speak. I trust him to achieve a fantastic result even at his age. But the WR, and that at 40? Something in me is hesitating. I still had good results (not very good results) on longer distances despite job, stress, family, kids in the years from 35 to about 39, but it became more difficult. I'm not surprised that Kipchoge is running the record at 37 with great shoes. But the price of decades of running is paid by everyone. And at 40, the likelihood of everything still going well is very, very low.
I'm so glad he did well. This is a solid result. He prob will never pr again but that's fine. Dudes a living legend
Ultimately, it was not to be.
Lmao u r brutal. At this point we have to be logical. He's too old and the masters record was real nice but I am confident in doubting him coz 40 yr olds in a sport that needs a physical aspect as the main thing, no one has ever been at the top.
