Where are you getting that from? I see 50-70. I do see some crazy number on the Monday after but that's the only detail and probably an outlier.
For London I've been looking and see completely different weather across all the stations. And at least that's this week. Go back to bed uncle, you're drunk.
Whoa - watch out Al Roker - we got a regular genius gunning for you in flowrunner
Wouldn’t rain be a good thing? My 2 rainy marathon have both been sub 2:25. Onky concern would be traction on some of the painted elements on the road.
Dewpoint of high 40's. I'll take it if this forecast holds out. It's a long way to go though.
midwest is pretty humid. it wont be less than 70%.
also think chicago should be 2 week later.
That kind of dew point would be pretty unpleasant! Hopefully, the current forecast for the dew point of high 40's stays as that wouldn't be too bad (with the temp + dew closer to 100 vs 130+).
....is 67 degrees, and as noted, that would be in the afternoon when you hobby joggers would be walking in. Mid 50s for the rest of us. Perfecto!
Hard to top Indy weather in November. 30s is the perfect racing temperature.
88 degrees in the middle of the desert is quite comfortable... likewise, a non humid day in chicago with a breeze off the ocean is much more manageable than 88 and swamp.
Were you looking at Chicago Texas? It's not going to crack 70. Do some research before you spout off horrid takes.
And, to echo others, the weather will fluctuate any way, but no where near 88 degrees.
Looks like little change in the forecast. Sunny and a more humid than the forecast from yesterday. Temps still 50s.
Lol yeah if you want to run in a race with almost zero fans and run alone (assuming you're running ~2:45 or faster). I'd rather just run a solo time trial in the Chicago burbs.

OP, I totally agree. I ran the race in 2017 and it was pretty bad humidity wise. I loved the event but training hard for a marathon that has a fast course just to waste it in the heat sucks. Seems there is only one out of every 5 years where the weather actually cooperates for fast times in Chicago.
The dew point was never above 55 that day, and if you weren't in wave 2 then the heat was a non-issue. Just because you had a bad race doesn't mean the conditions were to blame.
A 10+ day forecast from AccuWeather is likely no more than a proprietary blend of synoptic-scale model solutions, which in and of themselves have significant error increases after around day 6 or 7. Your anecdotal evidence does not supersede the fact that the conditions on Chicago race day may be under a completely different flow pattern and thus be more or less favorable.

this is great news for emily sisson. She's an excellent heat runner. I hope she wins!

But But. But. This is DATA! People hate data and quantifiable metrics
Fake news. A high of 68 and it's been in the low 50's around race time. The race director is Cary Pinkowski who was a national class runner at Villanova and he knows what he's doing.
Look at the op name and it tells you this idiot has a problem with Chicago.
Seems like it'll be mid-high 60s with low in the 50s, I wouldn't call that great weather for a marathon. Perfect weather is low 40s and cloudy, as another poster said you should be chilly at the line.
I agree with others, many of the fall marathons need to be moved out 2-3 weeks.

It'll still be better than my last three experiences at Boston. Happily will take low 50's.
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
Running for Bowerman Track Club used to be cool now its embarrassing
Hats off to my dad. He just ran a 1:42 Half Marathon and turns 75 in 2 months!
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
Rest in Peace Adrian Lehmann - 2:11 Swiss marathoner. Dies of heart attack.
