Kiochoge wants to be fast. He could care less about being the best at addiction induced exercising the most AKA ultras.

Hmm, if a runner of apparently limited ability could recently jog 7:15 min/mile pace for 24 hours and finish with 198.599 miles, Kipchoge should be good for at least 240 miles in 24 hours or a leisurely 6:00 min/mile pace. Now some people may be skeptical that 198.599 miles in 24 hours could be run clean by anyone, or that a perhaps 40-year-old man could run a clean marathon in 2:01:09, but for those who think that running or even ultra running is a clean sport, well, many runners at the elite level - but not of the ability of those two, have been found to be utilizing prohibited substances.
Rumor has it, he's coming after Kilian NEXT YEAR! He's going to fake summiting Everest 3 times in one day!
All that and Walmsley's shoes have been shown in all tests I've seen to not be actual super shoes. That's probably a factor in him choosing to focus more on UTMB than road events, especially after that excellent 100K attempt that came up a tiny bit short in slow Carbon X 2 shoes. Possibly would have been sub-6:00 in Alphaflys.
He thinks he'd rock the hell out of the 50k and 100k and probably win Comrades. He refused to say he wouldn't win UTMB as he didn't want to speculate too much.
I'd like to see Kipchoge run Comrades and make a 24 hour WR attempt.
WHat percent of UTMB is actually running? I mean I don't think Kipchoge would win xc skiing in the Olympics so I'd be surprised if he was great at that.
I can't believe your post is getting downvotes. It was hilarious.
His INEOS backers will probably provide a helicopter to help. Since no photos are required and Kipchoge's reputation is impeccable, I guarantee he'll do it just like Jornet did it.
If this years UTMB taught us anything, it should be that marathon speed doesn't matter a whole heck of a lot at UTMB.
After doing trail ultras for years now, it seems there are just some people who are good on trails and some who really are not that suited to it. Its hard to know until Kipchoge actually ran some trail races to know for sure.
Aside from ultras I really think it would be cool to see how well he would do at a VK.
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead

Rest in Peace Adrian Lehmann - 2:11 Swiss marathoner. Dies of heart attack.
Hats off to my dad. He just ran a 1:42 Half Marathon and turns 75 in 2 months!
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
