I am looking for a shoe that will run fast, not sink i and provide stability. Are there any such shoes available today? I tried a number of shoes in some local stores and the foams all felt slow and unstable.

What have you tried?
The new balance tempo is pretty good. Saucony Kinvara is solid also.
I tried the Saucony Hurricane. That was awful. Felt cheap and took so much energy to run. I also tried some New Balance shoes but these felt weird underfoot. I also tried the Asics Kayano and GT2000 model. These were too soft. They used to be firm. I also tried a shoe from Finland. This was garbage. I also tried others but I forget the brand and names. All cheap junk even though they cost $120-$170 or so.
I have been running in the Hoka Rincon and before that the NB Beacon. Both pretty light and I enjoyed but wanted to try something a little less cushy so I just got the Asics Noosa Tri 14. 7.6 oz in men's 9. Medium firmness to midsole, I'd consider it a "stable" neutral shoe. I really like the feel, very responsive, nice rocker feel in the forefoot, has 5mm drop but feels like more, which I like

BTW, it also comes in a much more sedate green color which is what I got.
try out underarmour shoes, theyre actually really good. trust me. I have an old pair that I'm still trying to get to 1000 miles with, but if you can find a pair like these, theyre amazing
Been really liking the Altra Vanish Tempo
Full blown stability trainer, or just trainer that is stable?
If the latter, give the Next% Turbo Nature a look. Foam is definitely firmer than tradition Next% (somewhere between Next% and React), base is nice and wide, and NO sinking. It is basically a faster, more stable Pegasus with plenty of room up front.
Hoka Rincon? Light weight, lots of cushioning decently durable.
Nb rebel v2, Nike tempo next%
New Balance FuelCell Rebels, either the 2's or the new 3's, sound exactly like what you're looking for
What about the original FuelCell Rebel? Are they considered inferior to v2 or v3? I found a pair on sale…
