hey so i’m a sophomore girl in hs. i’ve ran like 30mpw the past couple weeks, so not much. i’m 5’4 94 pounds. my 5k pr is 19:30, 3200 11:40 (both from last year).
i maintain my weight just eating whenever i’m hungry what i want, but i was wondering if that necessarily equates to eating enough? i have no idea how many calories i eat. here’s what i usually eat:
breakfast: 4 scrambled eggs with olive oil, big peanut butter banana smoothie
lunch: sandwich on whole wheat bread with turkey, avocado, pesto, bagel with pb banana and yogurt on side, something like that
snack: banana before run and protein bar after
dinner: two helpings of whatever my family makes. my parents make healthy balanced dinners which i am so grateful for
night snack: overnight oats and larabar
sometimes more, depending on how hungry i am. i always try to eat healthy with protein/fat/carb/fiber. but today i had a whole bunch of my friends candy in addition to my regular lunch, and went for an easy run a few hours later after the sugar and felt SO GOOD and went way faster at the same heart rate than ever. was it because of the sugar? more food? do i need to eat more? even with eating all the candy earlier today i still feel the same amount hungry as usual. should i eat more even though i maintain my weight easily? thanks!
