I was thinking what the difference was here from the 3k. Chebet ran much better here obviously, as did Kipkemboi. Taye and Tsegay weren’t in Lausanne. Probably the most obvious thing is there was a 3:03 K from 3-4K. It seemed that when Monson took the lead everyone took her seriously and since they were rested from that K they weren’t troubled at all by the injection if a little pace. Chebet and Kipkemboi wasted less energy jockeying and saved more for the last 150.
Fisher/Krop exacta box feels like easy money. Gets fuzzy after that.
