Birthday parties are for children. If you are above the age of 20 and still hope people plan you a party you need more to look forward to lol

One of the best things about being a competitive runner is that every five years you get to join a new age group and suddenly become much more competitive.
I was stoked to turn 50 for that reason.
Turning 50 wasn’t sad at all.
It felt good.
When I was 20, and even when I was 30 I wasn’t sure where my life was going to go.
I’m more confident than ever now.
Unlike some others here, I still don’t think about retirement at all.
I’m healthy. Sex drive is high. I don’t run so much any more but can still get in a five mile run here and there.
My career is still progressing and I’m fine working another 20 years and still being involved with some business after that.
I’m in my prime right now.
I remember when my father-in law turned 50 and everyone told me not to mention it to him because he was having a hard time with it. He is dead now and I am 68. I never had a hard time with any birthday. My father-in-law was foolish to feel that way..
Aging can be tough but personally its been easy for me because I am very healthy and active. Generally studies show older people report being happier than younger people.
However, at my age my health can turn on a dime. I have friends with significant health issues and some who have died. But I am okay with the whole process. We grow out of our bodies, which gradually become more uncomfortable, but that just prepares us to leave and enter life after death. Everything we have is just temporary, once you accept this, not in a fatalistic way, but as life, things are easier.
40 was a little hard. After that, no issue, incl 50.
I was 350 pounds at 40 and 175 pounds at 50. I thought that I was going to be my father’s twin (450 pounds, on every diabetic medication imaginable, on a hoove around scooter, and a chair lift to get up stairs), so 50 was a dream. Every day is a blessing! I’m still so as shyt!
Well, life is wonderful at any age... Of course, getting older you have more health problems. I have to buy viagra online to treat ED issues but almost 40% of men face this problem. Some psychological factors can be cured with counseling or therapy whereas other physical causes might require medication for better recovery. Do not hesitate to consult a doctor if you find yourself having problems with your sexual health.
I'm only 42 but I heard an excellent speaker on a podcast mention a few things about aging:
"Why should I get upset that I forgot my keys and call it a senior moment? Did I never forget my keys when I was in my 20s?"
"Why should I say I am old and got an old bunk left knee? It turns out my right knee is the exact same age"
"Someone told me, you will be 58 in four years when you graduate! I asked him, how old will I be in four years if I don't graduate?"
This was on the TED Radio Late Bloomers episode.
No, it was fun. Wife took me to Martha's Vineyard for a week in the late summer.
