Absolutely amazing race by Grant!!!! Smashes the AR by 7 seconds. And Grant is faster than Jakob over 5000 now.
Plus the 3k!
Amazing. What a dominant performance -- looks like the last time someone lowered the recore by that much was Sydney Maree 13:11 -> 13:01 in 1985.
How does this rank in terms of best two runs in a season? Has anyone run as fast as Krop twice in one season?
Can't believe how good Krop looked. Did much of the work after the pacers dropped and looked like he was jogging.
fisher is fast but he really sucks at winning races... US still gets embarrassed at these distances
How the hell has Grant held form all year?

It’s the AR Triple Crown!!
Cranny in 1500
I think this is 2nd best. Bekele went 12:48 twice in '06; Komen went 12:41 and 12:44 in '97
To think the last couple of years Kenyan 5K running was pronounced dead in the water.
Wow ! Super run by Fisher.
Also so happy for Grijalva 13:02.94. Really a great run for him because of his DACA status not knowing if he can travel to compete.
It must have been super hard to stay motivated while training not know if you can compete.
A Northern California fan is super happy for Grijalva who gone his running start at Armijo HS in Northern California.
Pacing lights are such a game changer for these fast races. Pretty much guarantees the pace will be hot untill 3K and as long as someone keep following the lights during the 4th K it will be a quick finishing time. So many times these DL races would get derailed with poor and uneven pacing, and then guys would back off after the pacers drop.
Easier said than done obviously.

Excuse me -- Komen went 12:39 and 44 in '97; that 41 was Geb taking him down in Zurich before Komen went back and broke 12:40

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaas Grant Fisher did look FRESH ;-)
He ran a 13:01 equivalent pre-super shoes. GEt over it. He did nothing special.

10k and now 5k records. Grant Fisher is the man. that was impressive!!
So many performances to call out here:
Krop was awesome. He led the last 1300+? And squeezed it down perfectly.
Grant ran aggressively and great. Deserved PB.
Ebenyo and Grijalva attacked the race heroically. Ebenyo is now clearly in monster shape. Grijalva maybe cost himself a bit running so hard so early but still nice Pb.
Kipkorir Kimeli even not at his best running 12:50 is something.
Lobalu 12:52 is the real deal and will be a factor next year.
McSweyn finally the 5k PB that makes sense.
Almgren? Wow.
Thierry, Klecker, Woody and Mburu probably the only guys disappointed. I’m not sure why those 2 Americans didn’t go out more conservatively.
cranny 5th muir 3rd, nope moved to 2nd
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
Running for Bowerman Track Club used to be cool now its embarrassing
Hats off to my dad. He just ran a 1:42 Half Marathon and turns 75 in 2 months!
