His body of work as a coach is really damn impressive.

And in looking at the Herriman track website it's far from a one man show. That school takes its running seriously with a dedicated group of coaches working with Soles.

Excellent, he should have them all burned out, disgruntled and injured just in time for their senior years.
He raced all of his guys on Aug 12, and all of his girls and JV guys Aug 15
I don’t see what all the negativity around this guy is about. He has had a lot of success but no magic secrets. He coaches at schools with big teams and they train hard. Injuries happen.
Did York do this as well and everyone loved the program?
Does anyone know if the Herriman guys run on Sundays? I know that The Great Oak guys did, but obviously religious landscape is different in Utah, and I was wondering whether Doug planned around that, or whatever.
Neither GO or Herriman ran/run on Sundays.

A vast majority of the teams don’t run on Sundays
I think he was speaking specifically about his team in that year. The dynamic of his 4-7 was probably different than 2016 AF's was. 2016 was extremely muddy as well.
Believe it? Or Not.
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead

Hats off to my dad. He just ran a 1:42 Half Marathon and turns 75 in 2 months!
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
