I trained Leah for most of her High School Career. Leah was a good middle school runner and was the reason I tried my best to convince her to come to Good Counsel but initially she went to a different school than transferred at the end of her Freshman year. When Leah ran in the 9th grade she was running in the mid 20's . To suggest she was a very accomplished runner before she came to GC is simply not true. I believe we had a very positive impact on Leah dropping her time close to 4 minutes over the next 3 years. Leah is a determined athlete with a fierce competitive spirit that I have not witnessed in many athletes. She made the determination she wanted to become a better runner and she did! Did our program help her ..yes it did, but in the end the true success lies with the athlete. As in many things runners are a accumulation of their training experiences inside and outside our schools training program so many people have added into the recipe of her success but I will always be proud of the training we provided Leah and I will always remember her as a Good Counsel "Falcon" ..RIch Hiegel
