It’s just a bad race. Everyone has had one. He ran a 15:05 at the Midwest invitational. Plus, Harvard is simply overrated and overhyped. They really are nothing special. 21st at Nuttycombe.
Hopefully Bosley does well at NXR or Eastbay or whatever he chooses for postseason. He can’t go wrong with either one since his team is no good on the regional level
Number one, The Midwest Invitational course is not an honest cross country course. Number two, if Bosley barely made the top 5 in his own state, how on earth is he going to compete for an NXN individual spot? Use some common sense.
Hats off to SPASH and Ocono. They both ran great Saturday. SPASH was just at another level. Unreal! West was a solid third on a OK day from them. I think they maybe were flat a bit after having to really battle through their sectional after a tight conference meet. Even if they ran lights out moving up to second was going to be tough the way Ocono ran. Their 3, 4, 5 would have all had to move up significantly. There were 3 top teams in the state this year and they finished in the correct order.
SPASH and West both return their top 5 next year. Be interesting to see if the gap can close. Kenosha Indian Trail was extremely young this year back in 16th. Be fun to see if they can take a big step up and compete for top 5.

Next year definitely look out for Eau Claire Memorial. They turned in some great track times and that carried over to XC. And they only lose 1 guy.
hudson looks good. Loses only 1 guy like Memorial. Onalaska is in the same section as both. They return their 1-2-3 but will need to recruit 2 more studs to make state
Ocon returns a bulk of their squad and always has guys come out of nowhere so look out for them. Behind them it looks to be a battle for LaFollette and Sun Prairie East for second. Janesville Craig has a lot of seniors graduating so good to see them make it this year, who knows if and when they will make it ever again
I would also watch out for Muskego. Based on track times I thought they would have a better season they they did. But they still return a lot next year. their girls team is always really good so that should motivate their boys team to step up.
Slinger, Grady Lenn-lead DePere and Marquette all return almost everyone
Homestead will have no chance at state. Every single one of their guys fell back after a mile or 2. I think everyone underperformed except for Rathe and Ulmen (both of them are returning next year). Germantown will definitely win that section
Onalaska’s 5th is at 17:46 actually. But their 5th nonsenior is the one that didn’t break 19. Onalaska was dominating through 3 guys at sections but their 4 and 5 couldn’t get it done to make it to state. Both their 4 and 5 raced at sections once. Section placements: Rudrud: 38th this year / 31st last year Topolski: 32nd this year / 20th 2 years ago / DNR last year Both their 4/5 did worse than the last time they ran sections.
What happened to Ty Getz from Arrowhead? He was supposed to be their #1. Hopefully he gets healthy for track though. They have a chance to win the 4x800
Midwest is a legit cross country course. It's fast but it is no Arrowhead. Look at Zach Vance, who was 2 seconds off his midwest time at State. And if midwest is too flat, look at like any course in the plains states. Those are almost completely flat.
It is flat. That is a fact. Yes, other course such as NXR are also flat. Bosley has no chance to qualify. I am still shocked that he is going to Harvard.
And no, freshman Shane Brosnan is NOT related to the former NP coach Sean Brosnan. So there is no need to expect him to be as good as Sean was when he was in college. In fact, they haven’t met until December 2021

Your credibility was dismissed long before this post.

There seems to be a lot of lacking confidence in his academic ability. Perhaps he will fall back to UW-Washington County like Tyler Lueck.
Colin Baker hasn’t run for Harvard since 2019. If you didn’t notice they had 3 all Americans last year. They will defiantly be a good team the next few years with the two guys up front.
