Honesrlt, I alrady know who you are feeding into this Homestead bias. Owen Bosley is not the favorite for state. Way overrated. He is going to get rolled not only ny Manny Putz but several others as well. I presict him getting about 31st at state.

Silhol got his ass kicked all over the place last spring. Prediction: 57th at state.

Watch out for Schimke and Jahnke. Real state matchup is between Putz and Erickson.

No milesplit chart or table exists even worth looking at.

I think that every statistic shows that Owen Bosley will win.
He was the fastest nonsenior finisher at XC state in 2021, and at state in the 3200 in 2022.

Silhol was also the highest nonsenior WI finisher at NXR. His track season didn’t go so well but I can see him bounce back from track season for his senior year

I think Zachariah Vance from Oconomowoc will be up with Triebold as well

Whomever came up with these rankings suffers from pre-season hype-itis and has no idea what they are talking about.

why Madison west so low, they are so deep.

I put Oconomowoc and Arrowhead in front of them because:
Ocon graduates no scorers. If Burbank gets back they will get second behind Stevens Point.
Arrowhead beat Madison West by 61 points at state and only got rid of one senior.
But Madison West has no seniors this year so they will be a team to watch out for in 2023.

So you included improvements from track or did you omit that part?

For the second year in a row, the top runner is in Division 2.

Madison West is #2 and Muskego is #3 based on the 3200 / 1600 times. Muskego is keeping most of their guys for 2023 as well.

but the section Muskego is in will be very hard to qualify from. They got 7th in it last year.
Lutheran got 2nd in the section and is keeping 6 guys.
Waukesha West got 3rd in the section and 5 guys are back. But losing #2 and #3 always hurts.

there are some other good teams in this section.
Tosa East is nothing like they were last year considering they lost 5 guys, so this is not the year they make it.

I think out of this section it will be Muskego and Wisconsin Lutheran going to state.

We could possibly see something historic for the next 2 years. Stevens Point, Madison West, and Muskego going 1-2-3 for 2 years in a row at state

It seems like Heartland will be very deep in 2023.
Wayzata, Stevens Point, Madison West will all be really good.
Wichita Trinity Academy from KS is another team in Meylan’s list of HL regional projections and are losing no one after this year.

Bismarck gets rid of their top guy after this year.

But then there is also Muskego.

There may be an at-large berth from this region next year

Homestead is racing today.

Homestead boys did not race, but they will race against better competition tomorrow.

Madison West got some improving to do. There’s a big 3-4 and 4-5 gap on this team.

middleton is looking really good this year though

Bosley and Rathe were probably pacing the rest of their varsity.

Silhol is injured according to Strava

the real question though…where was this guy? He could be their good 4 or 5 this year.
