Tabor boys are ranked first but will not win this year. Unless they have another transfer come in. Tabor is losing their 1-3.
Green Hope returns their 1,2, and 5, a 4:32 guy, and another guy who was in their top 7 in 2020. He ran a 16:53. They also got another guy who ran a 16:54 Last year. So they got enough depth.
Weddington might be down this year but they have a real nice freshman class. Could compete for the top spot at nxr when those freshmen are seniors. Next year I think this team will be all sophomores and the varsity team won’t change much until those guys graduate
I do think that no NC boys team will go to NXN this year. It will be Florida and TN dominating the region this year on the team side. Wando SC is good too.
When Loudoun Valley was good, SE was actually really good. Green Hope made NXN through an at-large in 2017. Weddington got 3rd at NXR in 2018.
In 2019 Western Albemarle shocked everyone with a 5th place finish at NXN. Loudoun valley got tenth
Even in 2020 (when LV wasn’t good) SE was still deep.
but next year Belen from FL should be one of the best teams in the nation.
not cracking top 15 in NY? Ehh…. That’s pushing it a little. Seems like there are maybe 5 teams that could beat every nc team.
Corning and FM for sure. Maybe St Anthony’s, Burnt Hills and Saratoga Springs

Tabor was missing: Kern, Armentrout and Connor Riley. Green Hope wins. They returned 3 scorers (albeit lost 4 varsity guys) but they seemed to find 2 missing pieces to complete their scoring 5. http://milesplit.live/meets/461407/team-scores/0_M_10 Cuthbertson boys team seems to be approaching the level of their girls team. Looks like they return almost all their scorers next year too.
