She’s bad for the sport. An absolute drip of an interview and doesn’t even race. It’s pretty crazy she can make so much money without providing much promotion for NB
She's barely raced all year. How could she need rest?

And, of course, she has complained about not getting enough attention.
Lots of athletes dropping out of Euros and Silesia. And, it's usually the established ones that can afford to miss a meet or two. They wouldn't drop out of they needed the paycheck.
She must have a clause in her contract to enter at least 5 big races yearly, and then DNS. This has been a norm now for several seasons.
Has she raced 5 races tbis year??
USA, worlds, tbis upcoming race..? Where else has she raced?
I know she did that one race where the hurdle(s) were not placed correctly. Maybe Nashville. She also ran a 100H somewhere earlier in the year and she looked just as good as when she does the 400's. That's four with USA and Worlds.
She’s running the same number of races. She’s just running a different race at a lower profile meet. Who knows why the change? I have to think it comes down to money. You can’t really blame her if Budapest is willing to make it worth her while.
This isn’t a scenario where Sydney is trimming back her race schedule. One European race was always the plan.

To my knowledge, Sydney has never complained about “not getting enough attention.” Frankly, she doesn’t seem to seek out any attention at all.
She has said she’s experienced disrespect from teammates and people in her circle who doubt her work and are envious of her success. That’s a very different complaint.
the average fan or teenage girl tuning into the tv tk watch those races probably doesn’t even know she is represented by NB, but they have heard multiple times within thst same time snap about Nike and BTC.
The average fan or teenage girl doesn't watch her races. They see her repping New Balance on social media and that sells more New Balance clothes and shoes than her races do.
And as long as New Balance is happy with the sales she generates on social media, they don't care if she races or not.
Fisher has immense marketing appeal and am sure because of that and what he has done on the track beginning last year at the Olympics and this year throughout he has a big following and sells a lot of Nike shoes based on his performances.
The race you mention, he smashed the US 10,000m record. It was viewed via live feed.
Before that, Fisher smashed the US indoor 5,000m record. It was viewed by people in the stands and via live feed.
On live feed and TV:
He raced the US championship and WC trials 10,000m and couldn’t run DL because of that. He raced the US championship and WC trials 5,000m and set the US championships record. He raced the WC 10,000m finishing fourth. He raced the WC 5,000m prelims making it into the final where he raced finishing sixth and w as en route to medaling before Krop cut him off.
He is racing Monaco DL 3,000m next week. Hope he breaks the US record of 7:29.0. Being in Europe he most likely will race one or two more times if he is feeling good.
