Britain Triathlon created a rule that there is are Female and Open Divisions, and only XX humans can participate in the Female Division. No matter how long you have been identifying as female, suppressing hormones, or any other medical intervention, if you were born XY you will never compete in the Female Division.
World Triathlon created a rule that says:
“To compete in the female category in an Elite or Age-Group triathlon competition, a Transgender athlete must demonstrate that the concentration of testosterone in the athlete’s serum has been less than 2.5 nmol/L continuously for a period of at least 24 months. Also, at least 48 months must have elapsed since the Transgender athlete has competed as a male in any sporting competition”

The World Triathlon press release says that that the new policy was arrived at after WT consulted many "transgender athletes including Joanna Harper, Chris Mosier, Rachel McBride, Verity Smith, Patty Actually, Annie Lieberman and Veronica Ivy." But the press release does not say if WT consulted any female athletes.
This omission is significant because when sports governing bodies such as World Rugby, FINA and UCI have consulted and polled female athletes within and outside their respective sports, they've found that overwhelming majorities of female athletes oppose allowing males to compete in the female category due to gender identity claims or other reasons.
These results are in keeping with what the IOC found the last time it polled athletes seeking to compete in the women's category at the Olympics about whether mandatory genetic sex testing should be conducted to determine eligibility for women's competition. At the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta - the last Olympics when genetic sex testing was done across the board for all athletes seeking to compete in women's events - the overwhelming majority of athletes who underwent genetic sex testing in order to compete in women's events said they thought the testing should continue.
Significantly, the World Triathlon press release does say that Tamas Toth, who is President of the Athletes Committee, voted against the new policy that allows males who suppress their T for 24 months to compete in the female category.

Today, Triathlon Mexico came out in opposition to the new World Triathlon policy and said it runs counter to the view of the athletes and coaches committees:
Triathlon Mexico is not in favor of this decision which is also not endorsed by the athletes committee nor the coaches committee and should be decided by Congress, so we will propose a resolution at the next WT Congress to revert it.

Isn't this policy stricter that the new UCI policy? 2.5nmol/L and 24 months are the same, but they also have the 48 months waiting period that does not exist in the UCI policy.
