This is just not true. Most Americans are insanely rich, when compared to anywhere else in the world, or any other time in history. Middle class life is as easy as it ever has been. Things aren't perfect, but this shtick about how awful things are in America is what these grifters feed on.
Most Americans are insanely poor when compared to other first world nations. Crappy expensive health care, a faulty social security net, no vacations....
The US $ amounts might be high compared to other countries but that is just due to the fact that the US $ is an (overvalued) currency.
What does the relative value of the US dollar have to do with anything being discussed?
Americans are slightly wealthier than most of western Europe, with slightly worse entitlements. That does not equal:
Most people lead miserable lives where they work their butts off and can barely pay their bills. They have no prospects other than to keep grinding away until they die. They are completely powerless in a world where everything is stacked against them.
You'll see the light and truth eventually, by that time though it'll be far too late. Some people see the world as it is and can spot the evil (like Alex Jones) and most of you NPCs choose to believe whatever someone on a tv or computer screen tells you who is directly associated with our federal govt. False Flag events are put on by our CIA all the time and when they don't go as planned (Las Vegas shooter), the media buries them immediately. When they pull of the plan perfectly, the media will run it as the biggest story ever for months and will use it to try and destroy our Constitutional rights.
Don’t hold back your infinite wisdom bro! When will this shot depopulate me?!
Most people who believe in conspiracy theories and/or obvious conmen are idiots whose lives suck. They have no power and no control in a world that is increasingly scary to them.
They then get preyed upon by these charlatans, who get money and fame in exchange for giving the idiotic, unwashed flyover masses the idea that they're on to something, that only their eyes are open to the real truth.
Americans want to be entertained, be on a team, and be a victim.
People like Alex Jones and Trump supply all that. They are con men and people like them have always existed and always will. People need and want con men.
BRILLIANT post. I took a class (or was it weldon and he told me about it) that talked about how people fall for cons and televangelicals even pastors before tv. They said part of the fun is for people to kind of wonder, "Is this actually a con job?"
Anyways, my brother and my mom have been texting all week about what a sick whacko Alex Jones is. I'm glad others hate him as much as us.
What I don't get about Alex Jones is this 1) Why would a guy with millions of dollars not fight the lawsuits. He basically was declared to have lost as he wasn't properly responding to them.
2) How in the hell did his text files get accidentlly sent to the opposing attorneys? Lawyers, do you think his counsel did this on purpose as he's such an ahole they wanted to expose him? Can he now sue his attorneys? Or not pay them? Why would the judge let the opposing counsel use that? I mean isnt' that protect attorney -client privilege?
There are youtube videos out there with people saying that you can pay off a car loan with an IRS form 1099a. This is complete BS and comes from the Sovereign Citizen/Redemption movement. They believe that everyone has a million dollar trust account in their name at the Federal Reserve that they can draft off of. Again, complete BS. How could anyone believe this?
I currently have three cases against these people and my clients get two or three of these people coming in to try and buy cars every week or two.
Most people lead miserable lives where they work their butts off and can barely pay their bills. They have no prospects other than to keep grinding away until they die. They are completely powerless in a world where everything is stacked against them. The mainstream media and political parties offer them nothing other than lies and BS campaign slogans that never result in any change in their material conditions.
When someone like Alex Jones comes along or they see a video on youtube about a secret legal loophole that lets them buy a vehicle for free, they suddenly feel like they are part of something and matter. The feeling of empowerment is so strong that they let down their guard and do not scrutinize the info.
This just shows they are idiots. The world is set up for success if you have even moderate intelligence, work hard, and have some level of self awareness and political savvy. I don't mean government political here, just general office politics.
If you work hard and gain valuable knowledge you can climb the social ladder. My parents were blue collar paycheck to paycheck people, I put myself through college and am a C-level VP in finance. This is possible if you work hard and make smart career choices. It is not possible for the people you described not because the deck is stacked against them but because instead of critical thinking they follow idiots like Alex Jones
There has never and will never be an intelligent person that believes even a sliver of his lies. 9/11 was not an inside job, there is no organized elite pedophile pizza shop ring, we really did land on the moon and those kids at Sandy Hook were gunned down.
he's charismatic and good at what he does, people are attracted to that. people are also tired of the mainstream medias bull. he's kind of like a hero figure
Charismatic? He talks like a blowhard moron. Anyone who listened to him and thinks he was telling the truth is also a moron.
This is exactly my point. Nobody believed this guy and yet they are claiming that a third of all adults in the US believed him? If they get awarded some outrageous sum of money, expect every family who lost someone on 9/11 to start filing lawsuits against anyone who claims 9/11 was a hoax. No amount of money is going to bring back anyone's loved ones.
You have to have very low awareness to think no one believed him. Half the posters on this board believed him until just recently.
Correct. There is a large group of people (let’s call it 20 million +) that believe all of these conspiracies.
- sandy hook hoax
- covid hoax
- Qanon
- Hunter Biden works for xx
- Biden makes no decisions for himself
- Trump has never lied
Once people’s emotions are tied to one side, they believe everything. Tucker Carlson got sued a few years ago and literally said his news was fiction. This shouldn’t happen.
Here is a mainstream media article telling people to ignore the clear legal disclaimers on boxes of masks, which they admit and show existing, and to blindly believe the media/government saying the exact opposite:
Since, the majority of the world is dumb enough to fall for this, anything can be pulled off.
You just continue to prove my point. We're almost 2.5 years into this thing and you still don't understand that the primary purpose of that type of mask is source control.

why do you think people talk like blowhards in the first place? Because they know some large percentage of the population will believe them if they talk like that. Jones doesn't need to convince 100 million people or 50 million...he just needs some significant number who respond to blowhards.
Trump does the same thing of course, down an octave.
Distance runners go to college....they can lose some understanding of how many people think. Hitler, and mussolini were blowhards and appealed to the same people Jones and Trump appeal to. it's human nature.

Source control? What are you even talking about?
What you're trying to do is talk to someone only a chicken could begin to understand - it's that futile.
Sure, but it takes a SPECIAL kind of stupid to believe the depopulation shots narrative. Congratulations!

I think you are right.
The question that I find interesting is; "What is the evolutionary advantage to being a sucker (someone who is attracted to blowhards)?"
To most folks, blowhards are incredibly obvious and ridiculously absurd (not believable for even half a second). So, it seems to many of us that those who are attracted to blowhards are profoundly stupid.
And yet, a non-trivial fraction of the population exist as blowhard believers so it would appear that, if not now, then at least for a substantial fraction of our evolutionary history, believing in blowhards was the sensible (i.e., evolutionarily advantageous) thing to do.

evolutionarily, joining up with a big loud charismatic man was probably a decent way to ensure your chances at protection and reproduction. You aren't going to choose the quiet guy who could methodically reason his way through problems at his desk.

as an aside, I mean look at jones...he is 'roided up and does everything he can to make himself look gigantic. Even drives a hummer. Of course. he wants to look like a tribal big man. He knows that will appeal to Trumpers and the like. Trump does the same thing - puffs out his chest, leans forward....lies about his height and hand size. Just plain physical largeness is a big part of the game of these people. primitive.

I suppose you are right.
And it probably increased your odds of staying within the local strong man's good graces to actually believe him as opposed to simply pretend to believe him - since people are not perfect pretenders.

Tell us you haven’t followed this case without telling us you haven’t followed this case.
