She lost touch with her sprinting speed. She got slower in 100m dash potential. If you want to run fast at 800-5k, speed is important.
More of a sedentary lifestyle once she was an adult allowed her body to tighten up and lose elasticity, flexibility and explosiveness which made her successful in the first place.
Maybe the problem is in her, and not in the coaches and training.
Tell that to Farah and Ingebrightsen.
