Loveland & Springboro are at the Fairmont Invite in Kettering. Supposedly it's a new course but still has the hill a few times. I guess the turns have been widened out.
St Iggys and St. X are at the Catholic Invite at Cedarville. In the past St X has not had their A team at this event. Are they going to ever run their top guys together in one race prior to post-season? I'm not sure about Iggys.
Glen Oak is at Cloverleaf.
Malone is this weekend but it has lost a lot and isn't the prestigious meet that it once was. The fact that Glen Oak is going over to Medina County to run at Cloverleaf instead of just down the road to Malone says a lot about where Malone in now. Maybe Jackson & D3 East Canton will be at Malone.
I don't know about D2 schools like Marlington & Unioto & where they are.

The comments above got me thinking about the Malone meet and how far it has fallen. Out of curiousity I looked on Baum's.
Results from 2008 when Mason with Zach Wills was at Malone are below. It was the second year in a row that Mason was there and they were challenged by Cuyahoga Falls. When was the last time that Cuyahoga Falls was relevant in XC? Probably around the time that Firestone and schools from the Akron City Series were. Mason was also there in 2007 and were beaten by Louisville & Green.
In the girls results from 2008 I noticed that North Royalton with standout Hannah Neczypor were at Malone. She ran 18:12 at a 10th grader and anyone that is familiar with the Malone course as it used to be knows that is an excellent time. Wills ran 15:40 which is also moving.
In 2007 Stephanie Morgan of Barnesville ran. Since I lived in Michigan I was familiar with Morgan because that's were she was before the family moved to Ohio. IIRC, Morgan had the fastest mile in the country at some point during high school and is not in the Ohio track & XC HOF.
Below the 2008 results I put a link to the most recent results. The decline in quality is dramatic. Does anyone know why? Hazen is now retired but still is peripherally involved with the Malone program and the meet. The quality of the Malone program has also dramatically decreased. At the All-Ohio meet last week they were a distant 6th with their highest finisher at 44th overall. It wasn't that long ago that they could compete for the team title. Times have changed.
It seems a bit ironic that Stark County neighbor Walsh, just about 5 miles up rt 43 from Malone, seems to have taken the reigns as the top D2 program in Ohio.
Ohiomilesplit has classified the Troy Twilight had 3 miles and not 5K..they updated the results and so on each athlete's profile it has their results under "Three Mile Run", and their times from this meet are now not being used in virtual meets/team scores
My humble opinion, I think Toledo St. Francis, St. Xavier, Lancasater, and Loveland are underrated.
It's crazy to think that this is the first week that Mason will race a top 10 team in Ohio (Medina) and it's in an Indiana meet. Mason didn't get to race Loveland since the Loveland meet got canceled. Springboro didn't race their 'A' team at Mason. And St. Xavier didn't race all their guys at Louisville. I really wish we could have seen them race all three of those teams.
Girls: I like Medina going up a few spots with their finish at Boardman They always seem to do well 2nd half of the season. I am not sure what put Westlake ahead of Avon, as it looked like Westlake rested Peer and a few other Varsity runners at Boardman. Avon won Galion by 40+ points, and times from all runners in the meet looked way off so maybe it was that. Loveland is moving up point wise and I can see them getting to top 5 here soon as they are getting better every week. I could see them in frontof Westlake and Avon here soon. . Mason and H.D usual spot. Lakota and Shaker in good spots..Dub Jerome I believe will rise too
Boys: It looked like only a few changes with a few teams going up or down 1 spot. Medina dropped a spot as did St X and West North. Top 5 remained the same. Do we see Mason ever leaving the #1 Spot? I thought Medina ran well as Boardman so similar to Avon girls, not sure why they dropped 1 spot.

I forgot that the Celtic Clash is this upcoming weekend. If they run the same course as last year I certainly hope that the distance is made known in advance so that there isn't a bunch of chatter about a short course. If it is the same course really doesn't matter that it's not a 5K but don't say that it is.
Davidson & Jackson are both listed as competing. As the hosts, Jerome is competing, of course. Bexley in D2 (boys are 9th in state poll),

I would be surprised if Mason leaves the number 1 spot. If Neuberger returns they could qualify for NXN

Other teams that made a big jump from the preseason poll Springboro
Solon
perrysburg
Others that got moved down a lot since then-
Dub Coffman
St xavier
Mentor
I think the rankings on the boys side for D1 actually look really fair. Results are being considered, and they hype train for some of the teams is being ignored for the most part. I'm really curious to see what happens at Lancaster, even if Davidson isn't there.
