Using this past weeks rankings (I put 11) and summarized their past weekend and a little bit about them..by no means do I think i am flotrack or super correct..just an opinion
1. Mason: Ran at Trinity/Valkyrie..obviously a good team but this meet seemed fastssttt... across the board a lot of runners at this meet in general PR'd huge..but Mason is Mason and are good
2. H.D: ran at MSU..just like Mason, even on courses that may be "easier"/fast, they are good, especially with their front runners.
3. Perrysburg: State Champs last year with many returners, ran at Dave's in Toledo and do not know much about this meet but regardless they have a strong top 7..prob the strongest of these 11 teams and well, were State Champs last year
4. Avon: Ran at Galion..looked like a super small meet/not very competitive and apparently raced at 330 in the heat so I assume all the times were off..but they have a stud freshman and 2-6 are strong/packed up...id say up there with Perrysburg with their top 6 overall
5. Westlake: ran at Boardman, but looked like they sat out Sarah Peer and a few others..but after #5 they seem nonexistent. but having Peer and a few others in their top 5 who are strong is lethal, especially with their 4x8 from track being elite this past season, can't count them out or doubt them so this week is hard to tell with sitting out a few
6. Loveland: they ran well in Alabama but we obvi do not know anything about this course but reference last year being 2nd at State, they will more than likely keep moving up and keep running well
7 Dub. Jerome: I am not sure if they raced but their top 3 are probably the strongest of these 11 teams, but there 4 and 5 are far back. they are scary with their top 3 and will be even more scary if they get 4-5 up in times and whatnot
8. Shaker: at Boardman they got 3rd behind medina, and were pretty packed up..they seem young so prob will get better as the season goes. Boardman is there regional course i believe and times never seem fast on this course.
9. Centerville: Ran at MSU like H.D did..they seem not as good as they have been but they have a stud front runner and i am sure will figure things out when it matters most (post season). I think a lot of the teams on this list I made are always elite and great teams so cannot count out Centerville. I am not sure if they just did not perform well at MSU or sat a few out
10. Medina: 2nd at Boardman..their top 2 are strong and race together but 3-5 are packed too but are pretty far back from 1-2. Medina always seems to figure it out (boys and girls) and have that culture of going to State and performing well there
11. Lakota West: Troy Twilight..seemingly a very fast or short course as most of their runners had HUGE PRs..some by over a minute but they have a strong front runner and a few others moving up..but Xc is hard to gauge PRS and times unless teams and runners race head to head, so i am not sure what to think of their performance here
