except the qualifying period doesn't start until tmrw (July 31) so it doesn't count, nor do any recent results. Secondly, it is possible that the Standard will be tougher, as with 10000m (now 27.10/30.40), but hasn't been announced yet.
The qualifying period starts tomorrow? Is that new that it starts so late this year?
I thought it usually started around May the previous year so that the various countries national championships and WC/Olympic times would be included in the qualifying period.
Sage's race was awesome. She is having a phenomenal season. The 53 / 1:58 400/800 speed would be a game changer at 1500. Will be interesting to see where she focuses given the strength of competition in the 800. She is 5th fastest in the US in both the 800 and the 1500. The US will get a 4th qualifier at the next worlds because of Mu's championship, but Houlihan isn't set to come back until 2025. Her 1:01.34 last 400 would have been 4th fastest at the US championships (albeit the US championships were run at a slower pace leading in.). I would think her superior 800 PR would give her the edge in a tactical race over the other competitors. Hopefully she can continue to grow stronger and faster.
Lots of fresh new blood straight out of college rising to the top and taking over. Love it. Mu and Hurta my new favorites
A huge win and PB for Sage Hurta. Her pb before this was 4:01.
I'm confused. According to World Athletics and the Murhphy seed times, her PB coming into the meet was 4:05.27 from the Track Meet in May. The 4:01.79 she ran yesterday is her new PB.
What do you know that the rest of us don't?
That's almost a 6 second drop in her PB since last year.

I think it is simply a typo. Your research probably is correct. Thanks, I was puzzled by that too.
This broadcast is deadly. In 1 hour of being on air we have seen what 6 100m heats and 2 400 races. To a total of maybe 3 min of action in an hour. No wonder people don't watch track.
They really do a poor job of putting on meets. I've said before any high school coach can put on a better presentation.

Are these meets run by actual track people? It sure doesn't seem like it.
It seems like they are being run by people from other sports who know very little about track.

I thought they did fine. Problem with the officiating? Interviews? Commentating? Last night was a blast. These meets always 'present' better under the lights.

Did anyone watch it from start to finish? How in the world coudl the men's 800 not be on tv? It was one of the few events with legit pro - including one who ran at Worlds. That came on 6 minutes before the TV window? Did they even show a replay.
Instead they were showing youth 100s?
And what did they show between 12:30 and 1:30? THe last running event was at 12:30(women's 400) but the event didn't go off air until 1:30? What did they do for the final 1 hour of the broadcast?
There were lots of races from 12:30 - 1:30. Men's and Women's 100 meter finals. (Women ran fast with T T Terry getting the win), Women's 800 where Top 4 or 5 were at 2:00 or under, and can't remember what else. But I think you're looking at the preliminary schedule, which they ended up revamping.
The B heat wasn’t on, but the A heat was. It was probably the highlight of the races I saw. I dvr’ed and to some prior posters point I breezed through it in about 15 minutes.

Post is going to be reported for being factually incorrect.
The men's 800 was part of the broadcast.
The women's 800 was the final event of the broadcast.
It appears that your impression of the schedule is off by exactly one hour.
1. I am unsure of why Andrews still runs , it is beyond reason at this point, ran 4:17 in road mile last week, not sure if he was the Pacer..see? That? I would get, I guess.
2. The "A" Heat was on of the M800.....the coverages , God Bless them was awful
3. Track MD-Distances announcing sucks almost anywhere , unless Merber team is doing it.
It appears that your impression of the schedule is off by exactly one hour.
Can you think of a reason why that might be?
The broadcasters are really, really incompetent, even worse than we thought?
This is either:
a) a rojo sock puppet account.
b) a SECOND person who can't take 3 seconds to check in which time zone Memphis (a city famously located along the banks of the Mississippi River) is located before logging on to lets run dot com and ripping t&f broadcasters.
