Literally the reaction I expected from LetsRun as I was watching.
This just makes me think of Marty Liquori’s comments during the 2004 5000m
”El Guerrouj could eat a candy bar and run 63s”
The real question is what could Jakob get in the beer mile? Could he break the world record?
Camelbak and Nathan shareholders go home ELATED
Nice. He'll probably do that next time, for he reads letsrun.
I was also near the water station. The first time he moved out he dropped the cup. Then the next lap he went back out and grabbed it successfully. The awesome part was that he speed up to grab the water and actually rejoined the pack about 6 places ahead of where he was when he went wide, while he was still sipping the water about 50m later. So Jakob is the legend who moved up into a better position while hydrating.
Jakob is a serious young man, but he also has a sense of humor.
Whatever he’s got going on is almost impossible not to like. I feel like he’s a pleasant combo of cocky prick and funny guy. Great combination for being 21 and the best in the world at something.
Now that's what I call high quality H20!
This thread is so weird. It’s just a bunch of reposts of meme catch phrases by high schoolers that saw their first 5000m. This might be the most generic thing since instagram.
All you left out is the part about going to London to jam with the Stones!
After all those water stops I'd say he's the World 5050m champion rather than the 5000m lol
That final was a real joke. I recognize that Cheptegei and some of his friends humiliated us.
Two humiliations for Cheptgei, Florence last years and now the final of Eugene when a kid of 21/22 beat him for his first race of the season.
If I see anther channel like "Total Running Productions" praising him, I will report it.
