I predict mason curl (9th grader) is going to come out of nowhere and place very well at states.

Burnt Hills / FM not so far behind St Anthony’s

Out of those 4 teams, Burnt Hills has the smallest number of seniors.

NY girls teams:

1. Saratoga - by a lot.

2. FM

No one close

Gonna be interesting to see how the Saratoga girls team will do after the Wheeler twins leave.

They still return 3 studs in Bush/Hart/Belisle.

They also had a 7th grader go 5:05 in the 1500. Not sure if she’s doing CC or not.

The best sophomore boy isn't even listed in the rankings.

And if the rumors are true about a coaching change at his high school, then he will be running for his high school this season.

Saratoga girls will be the best team in the country for the 4th year in a row

Saratoga Springs boys should probably be #5.

They return the strong top 3.

2 sub-16:30 5K runners, and another 9:44 incoming sophomore who will likely be up with them too.

Next 4 varsity spots will be up for grabs.

Also they are a well-coached team. They have the same coaches that the girls team has.

except in 2023 Saratoga girls has a solid chance to be the #1 in the country if they can find 2 more girls to keep up with Hart/Belisle/Bush.

No they do not

Saratoga boys team also returns a lot of young talent and is looking to be well set up for fall 2023. They will potentially go to NXN that year.

You’ll also notice that there are 2 incoming 10th graders and an incoming 9th grader in this group so this could be a start of some special things for the team

3 of their top 5 (Hart/Bush/Belisle) are coming back next year. They also have an incoming 8th grader who ran a 5:05 in the 1500. If she steps up and they find another solid runner up there they will be the best team in the country for the 5th year in a row.

I'm getting old and maybe things have changed, but back in the day at least the Kranicks coached boys and girls for xc, but the distance boys had a different track coach

Kranicks coach girls only now. XC/indoor/outdoor. Past 4 or 5 years, the boys program is an entirely different coach now.

Yeah on the boys side Corning is easily #1.

#2 will be a crap-shoot between Burnt Hills, St Anthony, and FM. Saratoga will be a dark horse.
But Burnt Hills and Saratoga should go 1-2 in this region next year.

Allison (alum), Windecker, Robleno, Smith, Hughes (he plays soccer so idk if he’s doing XC), Casey.

Silas Marvin’s on the team but there was another Marvin in this race. Could be a relative.

Oh and there’s also Cyr from Burnt Hills

But don’t forget that this wasn’t everyone from Burnt Hills. Rounds wasn’t in this but he’s the clear #1 on the team. One of the fastest high schoolers in New York
